Ajax – Open Centre – Rossland Landing
Located at the intersection of Rossland Rd and Harwood Ave in the affluent and growing community of Ajax, Rossland Landing is anchored by a new 40,000 square foot Longo’s supermarket that opened its doors to the public earlier in the Fall. It is the chain’s first store in the fast-growing Durham Region. Rossland Landing consists of a total of approximately 120,000 square feet, of which about 105,000 square feet has been constructed and is over 90 percent leased. The site is centrally located in the North Ajax community and is within steps of two large high schools with about 3000 students. The unique nature of the supermarket offering will also draw trade from the growing areas of North Pickering and West Whitby, both areas connected to the project by Rossland Rd. The site offers strong exposure and access to the Rossland and Harwood arterial roads. The average household income within a three kilometre radius in in excess of $115,000 per year. In addition to the Longo’s anchor, Dollarama, Starbucks, Booster Juice, Chocolats Favoris and What A Bagel are open. Women’s Fitness, Hand & Stone Spa, Pedi N Nails, Panago, Freshii, Osmow’s, McCoy Burger, daycare, dental, physiotherapy, Mathnasium, a pharmacy with a walk-in clinic will be opening in the first half of 2018. High profile spaces are still available including an end cap and drive thru potential. Targeted uses include: optical, pet food/supplies, veterinarian, hair salon, beauty supply, supplements, telecommunications, financial services, quick service restaurants, etc. Construction on the second phase of the development that will add about 15,000 square feet is expected to commence in late 2018 or Spring 2019.
