Barrie – Power Centre – Park Place

The first phase of leasing is complete for the former Target building at Park Place in Barrie, in Central Ontario.  Over 75,000 square feet has been to Ashley Furniture and Toys R Us, who has recently taken possession, and X-Play Trampoline & Laser Tag Entertainment Centre, who will be opening later in the Summer.  The second phase of leasing for the remainder of the Target building is underway with available space of up to 42,000 square feet, which can be subdivided.  In addition, there is some existing space, ranging from 1200 to 1800 square feet, available in the courtyard village area of the project, along with some other existing and future service, fashion and large format retail opportunities. A freestanding 6500 square foot restaurant pad is available.  It includes an area for a patio.  Park Place is Barrie’s destination retail node with anchors that include Cabela’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshall’s, Home Sense, SportChek, Best Buy, Michaels, DSW and LA Fitness.  Park Place is the 200-acre, mixed-use retail and commercial project located directly off Hwy 400 at Mapleview Dr. developed by North American Development Group.  Leasing is being handled by Simon Smith and Tony Fazari at CentreCorp Management Services.
