Beauharnois – Open Centre – District Beauharnois

District Beauharnois is a newly built service centre, located at Chemin de la Beauce and Boul. Cadieux, just off Hwy 30 in Beauharnois, a community between Châteauguay and Vaudreuil-Dorion, in southwestern Quebec. The 170,000 square foot centre consists of eight different buildings and anchored by a 42,700 square foot IGA Extra/Rachelle Béry health food store and a 38,300 square foot Canac Hardware store and garden centre along with Dollarama, Jean Coutu, McDonald’s, SAQ, National Bank, etc. Cindy Wong at Harden is marketing for lease the last two remaining units on site.  The are in-line units of 8000 square feet and 3345 square feet.  Both could be subdivided and the suggested uses include a gym, sporting goods stores, specialty retail and services.  Over 44,000 people are presently within the trade area that is undergoing significant residential growth. A new industrial park on about 575-acres will house Rio Tinto Alcan, IKEA distribution centre, etc.  The median age group in the area is about 43 years and the average household income is about $90,000 per year.
