Newmarket/East Gwillimbury – Open Centre – Yonge Green Lane Common
Yonge Green Lane Common is a 440,000 square foot open-air centre situated in the established Yonge St. retail node at Green Lane, just minutes away from the Hwy 404 interchange in Newmarket/East Gwillimbury, just north of Toronto. Anchored by Lowe’s and LA Fitness, the development includes several national tenants such as LCBO, Tim Hortons, East Side Mario’s, Mastermind Toys, RBC, CIBC, Five Guys Burgers & Fries and Pet Valu. The centre is located adjacent to two other prominent retail developments whose anchor tenants include Costco, Real Canadian Superstore and Cineplex Silver City Theatre. The next phase of the development, encompassing 83,000 square feet, will open in Fall 2018 and will be anchored by a full-line, regional-chain grocery store and national-chain pharmacy. The population within a five kilometre radius of the project is over 84,000 people. The average household income is in excess of $120,000 within the area. Over 48,000 people are employed within a five kilometre radius. In the existing phase of the development, there are two units available. Both offer prominent exposure to Green Lane East. The first is a 3025 square foot end-cap unit created by Vitapath’s recent departure from the Canadian market. The second is a 1650 square foot in-line unit formerly occupied by Clancy’s Meats. Suggested uses include quick service restaurants, pharmacy/walk-in medical clinic, storefront professional offices and other general retail uses.
