Richmond – Open Centre – Richmond Village Marketplace
Located southeast of Kanata in the Ottawa region, the Village of Richmond is poised for growth over the next several years and is in need of all forms of retail, food services and health services. Loblaw, led the expansion about five years ago when it replaced a small format Valu Mart with a new 27,000 square foot Your Independent Grocer in the Richmond Village Marketplace at Perth St. and Shea Rd. at the gateway to the community and its 15,000-person trade area. Tim Hortons and TD Bank opened shortly after with Pet Valu, First Choice Haircutters and a dental office joining them a year ago. There is currently an 1100 square foot in-line unit available that would be ideal for pizza or another quick service food uses. An additional 32,000 square feet can be built and the market requires a larger format pharmacy and other forms of general merchandise retail. An announcement on a fifth building is expected shortly for Spring 2018 which will add 6000 square feet, which can be divided.
