St Catharines – Open Centre – Grantham Shopping Plaza
Street Properties recently acquired Grantham Shopping Plaza, an established 160,000 square foot community shopping centre at Scott and Vine streets located in the north central St. Catharines on the Niagara Peninsula. Anchored by an expanded and upgraded Sobey’s grocery store and Home Hardware, the centre continues to be the neighbourhood’s shopping destination. The 160,000 square foot open centre includes several national tenants such as RBC, TD Canada Trust, Tim Horton's, Pizza Pizza, as well as regional tenants like Henry's Camera's, A Buck or Two, Meridian Credit Union, Vandendool Jewellers, Pharmasave and Jack Nash Fine Clothiers. The site is surrounded by an established residential community of 30,000 households within three kilometres of the site. Immediately surrounding the site are a number of high rise apartments, as well as seniors housing, several churches and a cluster of schools. The high traffic centre is seeking full service and quick service restaurant uses and service retailers for the immediately available 1200 square foot to 10,124 square foot units. Further there is an opportunity to create a new freestanding pad with a drive through end cap unit. Home décor, restaurants, optical, after school tutoring, travel, dental, sporting goods, stationery and paramedical are suggested.
