Toronto – Mixed-Use – King High Line Retail

In just over a decade, what was once a collection of time-worn buildings on forgotten lands in downtown Toronto has been transformed into an eclectic, urban hotspot. Today, Liberty Village is a meld of upscale residential, statement-making work spaces and hip hang-outs. Vibrant, distinct and in demand, the area is electric with energy and opportunity.  King High Line Retail, located at 1100 King St. West, is a mixed-use development in the growing Liberty Village neighborhood, west of the downtown core, just north of the Gardiner Expressway and minutes from local landmarks such as BMO Field and the Exhibition Grounds. The retail component of King High Line Retail will include 155,000 square feet of space that will be anchored by Longo’s and Canadian Tire.  Retail space is still available with units starting at about 1000 square feet, suitable for fashion and décor retailers, restaurants, cafés and specialty shops.  An opportunity for a unique signature restaurant is available at the ‘point’ of the project. The unit is 11,265 square feet on two distinct levels, 4805 square feet at grade level with direct access to King High Line 'trail' and 6460 square feet at grade level with direct access to King St. West. The units offer large frontages, multiple entrances, underground parking, convenient elevators and easily accessible for all types of commuters and over 500 luxury residential units directly above.  About 234,600 people and an average household income of $97,975 per year are projected to be within a three kilometre radius by 2021. The daytime population in the area is over 95,800 people and the traffic count on King St. West and Strachan Ave. exceeds 29,400 daily. Expected to open Spring 2018, King High Line Retail is designed to become Liberty Village’s ‘go to’ shopping destination, attracting the growing young urban population. Terry Ledamun, First Capital Realty’s Leasing Director is handling the leasing.
