Arlin Markowitz and Jackson Turner at CBRE Ltd. are marketing for lease over 2000 square feet of retail space in the Dupont area of Mid-town Toronto.  The former bank building at 659 Dupont St. is on the corner of Dupont Ave. and Christie St. with over 40,000 vehicles passing daily. The property consists of 2000 square feet of ground floor space, a 650 mezzanine, a 2000 square feet basement and two parking spots. Neighbouring tenants include Fat Pasha, Shmaltz, Rose and Sons, Loblaws, Starbucks, LCBO, Dark Horse Expresso Bar, Propeller Coffee and Angell Gallery.  Markowitz notes that Dupont St. is emerging as Midtown West’s hottest new retail destination.  “The Queen West art crowd is relocating to this area resulting in a flurry of microbreweries, espresso bars and galleries.,” he explains.  “Intensification in the area is happening at a rapid pace with at least nine approved mid-rise mixed-used/residential projects approved near Dupont and Dufferin by developers such as Tridel, RioCan, Freed and Lifetime.”  The space is available for September 1st, 2017.
