The major project that is underway to expand the Port of Montreal in Contrecoeur will make the site a regional and international transportation hub. The expansion is expected to create about 24,000 jobs in the region over the next ten years. Marché Contrecoeur is a grocery-anchored neighbourhood centre in the community that is in pre-development with confirmed tenants including A&W and Eggspress. The project is located on rue St-Antoine in Contrecoeur, the growing community about 45-kilometres east of downtown Montreal. The centre’s location just off of Exit 119 of Hwy 30 and on a roundabout, allows retailers to benefit from the site’s strong exposure. Jaime Roskies at Forum is handling the leasing and notes that spaces ranging from 1,000 to 45,000 square feet remain available for pre-leasing.
