Cincinnati-based retail company The Kroger Co. has partnered with Designer Joe Mimran on a new apparel brand - Dip.  "We've worked closely with Joe and his team to develop a line of clothing that works for today's times – easy to buy, easy to wear, and easy to love. Winnipeg-based Artis Real Estate Investment Trust reports that it has sold, or entered into an unconditional contract to sell, four office properties located in British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba during the second quarter of this year.  Formerly referred to as Birchcliff Building, 630-4th Ave SW is a 68,069 square foot, five-storey, Class B office building located in downtown Calgary, Alberta. The property was recently vacated by a major tenant who occupied approximately 90 percent of the building.  It was sold for $9-million and the transaction closed on June 1, 2018.  Eau Claire Place II is a 139,730 square foot, 17-storey office tower also located in downtown Calgary, Alberta.  The property was sold for $20.5-million.  Production Court is a 297,727 square foot, Class A office complex located in Burnaby, British Columbia. The property was sold for $100.5-million. Production Court and Eau Claire Place II were sold as a portfolio pursuant to a transaction that closed on June 27, 2018.  Artis and its partner have entered into an unconditional agreement to sell Centrepoint, a newly constructed 103,446 square foot office building and adjacent 406 stall parkade located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Artis' 50 percent interest of the sale price is $27.3-million.  The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.  (Artis REIT – 204/947-1250)…….

Entertainment and media company Cineplex and The VOID, the immersive entertainment company, have just announced a new, exclusive expansion agreement that will see the opening of new VOID Experience Centers in communities across Canada.   With its first location already operating at Cineplex's The Rec Room in downtown Toronto, the agreement will provide Cineplex with the exclusive rights to operate The VOID concept in Canada. The initial plan is to open a minimum of five VOID Experience Centers over the coming years, both inside and outside of Cineplex operated properties. Kirkland, Quebec-based real estate and construction company Broccolini has been chosen by Amazon to develop a built-to-suit fulfillment centre in Ottawa. In addition to its role as builder and developer of the Ottawa Fulfillment Centre, Broccolini will also act as landlord and property manager. "With this latest announcement, Broccolini will continue to deliver outstanding projects here in the National Capital Region, and we look forward to breaking ground for the new Amazon Ottawa Fulfilment Centre later this Summer," said James Beach, Broccolini's Director of Real Estate and Business Development.  Broccolini is a single-source provider of construction, development and management services for industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.
