Simon Smith at CentreCorp Management Services Ltd. is pre-leasing the next phase in the expansion of Wonderland Gateway Centre, an open centre at the intersection of Wonderland and Wharncliffe roads in Southwest London’s dominant retail zones. The existing centre, shadow-anchored by Lowe’s, includes Ren’s Pets, Tim Hortons, etc. The next phase is a 10,000 square foot building at a signalized intersection on Wonderland Rd. that sees almost 30,000 vehicles passing per day. Units in the new construction are ranging from 1000 to 5000 square feet. Construction is expected to start in Spring 2021 for a fourth quarter 2021 possession. Suggested uses include quick service Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican and/or Asian restaurants as well a host of medical, financial and other service uses. Patio space could be made available. Plans are also underway for large format uses in subsequent phases. Over 31,000 people are living within a three kilometre with more residential planned immediately west of the site. The median age in the area is about 40-years and the average household income is in excess of $103,400 per year.
