A 43,000 square foot Uptown Alley Family Entertainment Centre opened in early December at the open plaza at 1300 Ellice Ave. and St. Matthews Ave. in Winnipeg’s high traffic Polo Park shopping district. The facility offers bowling, laser tag, an arcade, private party rooms, ping pong tables and a bistro. The concept can host birthday parties for all age groups, company outings, teambuilding events, etc. In addition to the new entertainment centre, the plaza currently includes a Bianca Amor’s Liquidation Supercentre, Dollarama and an Aaron’s. In addition to some professional office space, the newly renovated plaza also offers a potential freestanding pad of up to 6000 square feet. The pad is on the south end of the property at the St. Matthews Ave. entrance. The nine-acre site is across from a Walmart and two hotels and over 28,800 vehicles pass the site daily. Rona, Home Depot, Costco, Winners, Chapters, etc. are all in the immediate area. Over 28,200 people are living in a five-minute drive radius and the daytime population in that area is in excess of 38,600 people. Michael Stronger at Shindico Realty Inc. is handling the leasing.
