Winnipeg, MB – Open Centre – 1845 Pembina Hwy

Last week, Golftec, the 24-year old chain of golf instruction and indoor practice ranges, took possession of a 3800 square foot unit at a plaza at 1845 Pembina Hwy, just north of Bishop Grandin Blvd. in the power centre node at Plaza Dr. in Winnipeg.  Presently the chain counts over 200 locations in North America and Asia.  The chain entered the Canadian market in 2010 and presently operates about 19 locations across the country.  In addition to the one-on-one video instructions and diagnosis, other services include club and custom club fittings and golf equipment sales. Ian Corbett at Shindico Realty Inc. handled the transaction on behalf of Golftec.  With this addition, about 5000 square feet remains available for lease in the 1845 Pembina Hwy plaza. Long & McQuade Musical Instruments are anchoring the plaza that sees over 85,000 vehicles passing daily. Positioned across from the Pembina Crossing retail centre, the site is just north of the University of Manitoba campus and its 35,000 students and staff.  In addition, there is a strong daytime population due to the nearby Fort Garry Industrial Park. The daytime population within five kilometres is over 146,000 people and more than 160,000 people are living within five kilometres of the site.
