Richmond – Open Centre – Richmond Village Marketplace

In two weeks, the population of Richmond, a community located just 36 kilometres from downtown Ottawa, will see a state-of-the-art LCBO opening in the Richmond Village Marketplace.  The 6200 square foot store joins the King’s Your Independent Grocers along with Tim Hortons, Pet Valu, TD Bank, etc.  Located at Perth St. and Shea Rd., the open centre is in a growing trade area of about 21,500 people. Over 1,000 new housing starts are projected for the immediate future and the average household income in the area is over $100,000 per year.   Approximately 5,000 square feet is available adjacent to the LCBO which can be divided.  In addition, there is about 15,000 square feet to be built at the main entrance along Perth St. Richard Getz and Fraser Paddison at Colonnade BridgePort Realty are handling the leasing.  They noted that day care is a desired use as there is no formal day care in this growing market and pharmacy, pizza, full service restaurant and additional retail and services are needed to round out the tenant mix.
