Aurora – Mixed Use – Aurora Mills Town Centre

Aurora Mills Town Centre is a new retail project that makes up part of Haven Developments’ 780,000 square foot mixed use project at Leslie St. and St. John’s Sideroad in the growing area of Aurora, a community in central York Region, about 50 kilometres north of Toronto.  Designed in a campus-inspired layout, the 65,000 square foot retail component will consist of five buildings on the 5.14-acre site. The buildings are designed to accommodate a supermarket of about 35,500 square feet with four single-level pad and shared-strip buildings of about 11,000 square feet, 6700 square feet, 5875 square feet and about 5750 square feet. Available spaces will range from about 1000 square feet and larger. Possession is expected for fourth quarter 2019.  Shawn Abramovitz and Daniel Kershen at Core Consultants Realty Inc. are handling the leasing and they have noted that the space is suitable for a full range of retail and restaurant uses as well as financial, medical/dental and neighbourhood services.   With the population of the town of Aurora projected to reach over 69,600 by 2020 along with the traffic generated by the new project with its retail, office, hotel and sports complex additions, a new St. John’s Sideroad interchange on Hwy 404 will be added immediately east of the project. In 2010, with an average household income in excess of $155, 400, the town of Aurora was named one of the country’s most affluent.
