Prime food court space is available for Japanese, Mexican, Indian or Greek menu uses in the Rainbow Centre in downtown Sudbury in Northern Ontario. Fresh juice, salads or frozen yogurt would also be suitable for the food court that currently includes Swiss Chalet/Harvey’s, Gino’s Pizza, Mr. Sub, King Wong and Pita Hut. The food court in the mixed-use Rainbow Centre caters for more than 2000 employees in the Rainbow Office Tower in addition to mall shoppers and Radisson Hotel’s guests in the complex. Samer Ghazi of Vista Hospitality is handling the leasing for the project and notes that large format space, up to about 25,000 square feet. Is available for outdoor sports, electronics, hardware, etc. In addition, a limited number of opportunities, ranging from about 600 square feet to a possible 10,000 square feet for various services such as mobile phones and accessories, florist, dry cleaner, shoe repair, etc. as well as specialty retail uses such as fashion, footwear, children’s apparel, etc. Located on Elm St. in the city’s downtown area, the mixed-use project includes about 350,000 square feet of office space and about 300,000 square feet of retail area with the Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre also an integral part of the project. The largest city in Northern Ontario, Sudbury has become a regional centre for government, business, education, health care, etc. Over 2500 people are working in the mall and about 9000 people are working in the immediate downtown area and about 23,000 people shop in the city’s downtown daily.
