Pursuing Weed Permits…….

Choom Holdings, a fully-integrated cannabis company, is aggressively pursuing retail opportunities in the Canadian marketplace. Choom has secured the rights to an additional eight retail locations in Alberta, increasing the total to 17 applications in the approval process with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.   This follows Choom’s mid-April announcement that it had secured the rights to 16 retail locations in Alberta and British Columbia, subject to all necessary governmental approvals being granted and had applied to Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority for cannabis retail permits in 32 zones across the province. The SLGA has made 51 cannabis retail permits available in 32 zones through a Request for Proposal process and is expected to award the permits via lottery by June 2018. "Our goal is to secure significant market share where private cannabis retail stores are permitted,” said Choom’s President, CEO Chris Bogart.  “Increasing our footprint in Western Canada naturally strengthens our reach to consumers.  With the coming recreational cannabis market, ensuring an elevated customer experience and positive initial impressions will be crucial. Our retail environments will be curated for an outstanding experience.”  He added that the company will continue to seek expansion opportunities.
