Mr Lube is a 43-year old Canadian chain of automotive services centres that specialize in fluid maintenance services as well as scheduled services such as seasonal tire services, transmission and coolant fluid changes, fuel filters and fuel system cleaning, headlight replacement, etc. Currently there are about 180 of the quick services warranty-approved service centers in operation across Canada and the chain is presently targeting markets of more than 50,000 people throughout Canada for growth. Karen Koenig at Paracom Realty Corp. and Lindsay Hepburn at SRS Canada are handling the site selection for the Ontario market. The freestanding centres are designed as a clean, customer-friendly, destination-oriented traffic generator that does not compete with other uses. Small pad sites and end caps with limited parking is required. Mr. Lube’s format is in a 2300 to 2500 square foot range for the three-bay unit. Various real estate options are possible. While land leases are the general practice, the company will also consider land purchases as well as conversions of existing lube locations. All leases are held corporately. In early March, Mr Lube was recognized with the designation of Platinum Club Member by Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2018. To achieve this designation, Mr Lube has been named a Best Managed Company for seven consecutive years.
