Barrie – Mixed Use – Park Place

Momentum continues at the Park Place shopping centre in Barrie with Cineplex having recently announced its plans to open a new Rec Room concept in the Summer 2020.  This addition further solidifies Park Place as the region’s dominant retail, dining and entertainment node. The Rec Room will join a list of other strong retail anchors that include Cabela’s, Bed Bath, Marshall’s, Home Sense, Sportchek, Best Buy, Toys R Us, Michaels, DSW and LA Fitness.  In January 2019, Park Place will also welcome the opening of a new Keg Steakhouse.  And with the recently completed land sale, a Holiday Inn hotel is expected to open in 2020.  The second phase of leasing for the remainder of the former Target building is underway with available space of up to 45,000 square feet, which can also be subdivided.  In addition, existing spaces, ranging from 1,200 to 1,800 square feet are available in the courtyard village, as well as other existing and future service, fashion and large format retail opportunities. Simon Smith at North American Development Group and Tony Fazari at CentreCorp Management Services are handling the leasing.
