St Jean sur Richelieu – Open Centre – 180 St Luc Blvd
Patricia Hirsch at Intella Immobilier reports that in mid-October, the Societe Quebecoise du Cannabis/SQDC opened a cannabis dispensary at the new neighbourhood centre development at 180 St Luc Blvd at Douglas St. in St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, a community located about 40 kilometres southeast of Montreal. An IGA supermarket along with Dollarama, A&W, Tim Hortons, Dairy Queen, etc. are already operating. During the Summer, a 7500 square foot Actiforme fitness facility and a 1600 square foot Shop Sante vitamin and supplement store opened at the centre. Construction is currently underway on the 12 screen Cinema Guzzo, a Souvlaki Bar and La Belle et La Boeuf as well as an Easyfinancial that are expected to open shortly. Ms Hirsch notes that some pad units and units with drive-thru potential are still available. About 65,000 people in more than 29,000 households are within ten minutes of the site and the average household income exceeds $76,000 per year. More than 40,000 vehicles pass the site daily.
