Targets Small Communities……

Last week, the CANNABIS XPRESS chain of boutique cannabis stores opened its ninth location, a street front location at 8 Main St. West in Beeton, a small community located between Tottenham and Alliston in Simcoe County in Southern Ontario. The unit is 350 square feet with about 100 square feet of retail space. The fast-growing chain focuses on the smaller, underserved Ontario markets with a format that features limited product choices with an emphasis placed on speed and convenience in the smaller, clean and convenient locations.  In April, the chain’s tenth location opens at 1648 Taunton Rd. in Hampton, a community in the Clarington in Durham Region, east of Toronto.   And a location in Brighton, also east of Toronto in Northumberland County will follow.  Owner Chris Jones explains that plans call for 15 to 20 locations operating by the end of 2022.  The search continues for highly visible location, under 1000 square feet, in small-medium sized cities and towns across Ontario that have little or no competition in the area.  The CANNABIS XPRESS stores are merchandised to feature limited product choices with an emphasis placed on speed and convenience in the smaller, clean and convenient locations.
