West Island Redevelopment……..

In addition to announcing that La Maison Simons, is coming to CF Fairview Pointe Claire, last week the co-owners, Cadillac Fairview and Ivanhoé Cambridge, unveiled plans for a major redevelopment to the 870,000 square foot regional mall in Montreal’s West Island area. “Today’s announcement represents an extremely exciting stage in the evolution of CF Fairview Pointe Claire,” explained Brian Salpeter, Senior Vice President, Development, Cadillac Fairview.  “The addition of Simons, one of the premier retailers in Quebec, as well as the anticipated arrival of the new light rail transit station near the shopping centre, will serve as catalysts for the transformation of the property and the adjacent lands into a new, vibrant mixed-use community that will become the city centre for the entire West Island.”  Simons will occupy the second and third floors of the former Sears space at the western side of the property in 2021, with the ground-floor space being reimagined to accommodate enhanced dining options for the centre.   In addition to its mix of retailers, CF Fairview Pointe Claire is committed to providing enhanced services. The centre has invested in its digital offerings, providing free enhanced WiFi access and CF SHOP! Text, a text-message-based concierge service that provides customers with access to directions, mall info and store suggestions.  Most recently, CF Fairview Pointe Claire introduced its electric vehicle charging program, partnering with FLO to install three networked electric vehicle chargers.  Located at 6801 TransCanada Hwy. in Pointe Claire, the mall is anchored by The Bay along with Winners/HomeSense, Deco Decouverte, Best Buy, etc.
