Later this week, Farm Boy will open its 52nd store in Ontario at the former Sobey location at 39 Huron St in Collingwood in Simcoe County north of Toronto. Along with a custom mural inspired by Collingwood and Blue Mountain, the freestanding store will feature farm-fresh produce, including local and organic options, Ontario-sourced fresh dairy, meat, and grocery products along with a dedicated hyper-local area of the store that offers a selection of products from vendors from the local community, a wide selection of butcher-quality Canadian beef, pork, and chicken, along with select international offerings and a full range of Farm Boy’s curated, exclusive Private Label products. The store will also include a Hot Bar, Chef’s Market Soup Bar, and Salad Bar selections, delivering fresh, high-quality grab-and-go meals and an Arterra Wine Rack featuring a diverse product assortment. Founded in Cornwall in 1981 and part of the Empire Company since 2018, Farm Boy has grown from a small produce store to more than 50 locations across Ontario, with further expansion plans on the horizon. Farm Boy is also scheduled to open shortly in a new development at 4828 Bank St at Skipper Dr in Ottawa’s Findlay Creek area.
