Bike Shops Under Discussion…….

Primeau Vélo is a Canadian cycling retailer with deep roots in Québec, tracing its origins back to 1928 when the first family-run shop was opened in Montréal. Now led by third-generation owner Éric Primeau, the company has grown into one of the largest bike retailers in the country, that with the most recent addition, a 10,000 square foot location at 2420 rue des Vitrines, near the Colisee Videotron in Trois Rivieres that opened earlier in 2026, the chain operates eight stores across Québec alongside its strong e-commerce platform. In addition to the recent Trois Rivieres location, the chain operates three stores in the Greater Montreal area, three in Quebec City and one in Gatineau.  The Primeau Vélo locations offer a comprehensive range of products, including road, mountain, hybrid, and electric bikes, as well as parts, accessories, and professional repair services. With its knowledgeable staff and customer-focused approach, the company emphasizes expert guidance and personalized service. Presently the chain is in discussions for two more locations and all expansion interest for the corporately owned stores remains in Quebec. The chain is traditionally located in 10,000 square foot locations and Marie-Lyne Comeau at Paracom Immobilier (Quebec) is handling the chain’s site selection.
