Next week, the first Yolk’s Breakfast restaurant in Quebec opens in Montreal’s West Island area. The upscale restaurant concept opens in a shared pad at the high traffic Boul des Source and Brunswick Blvd corner at the Galeries des Sources in Dollard-Des-Ormeaux. It is the first of a 26 unit agreement Happy Belly Food Group signed in mid-2024 with multi-restaurant operator, Montreal-based Les Marques Capano. And plans are presently underway for more openings and Corey Bessner at Core Consultants Realty has been retained to handle the site selection in Quebec. Originally a street cart concept in Vancouver in 2012, the Yolk’s concept, with its large breakfast and brunch menu, now has three locations in Vancouver and with its early November 2025 opening on Bloor St West in Toronto, two locations in Ontario, as well as several more under development and planned for 2026 across key markets in Canada. The Happy Belly group of companies continues to source operators and locations, targeting 2000 to 3000 square foot high traffic street front locations, plazas and open centres.
