First of Several for Calgary……..

Shortly after opening its first location is Newfoundland, in early May the Mezza Lebanese Kitchen chain of quick casual restaurants opened its first location in Alberta. The first Mezza restaurant in Western Canada opened in a 1500 square foot unit at 4 Royal Vista Way in northwest Calgary.  The first location for franchisee, Ankit Singh, there are plans for more locations and Brodie Davis at CBRE Ltd. is presently seeking additional locations in Calgary and the surrounding areas. Mezza targets high traffic sites with a focus on the 1800 to 2000 square foot street and plaza locations.  Based in Halifax, Mezza Lebanese Kitchen is a Middle Eastern/Mediterranean chain of restaurants that was launched in the early 1990s as a food court concept in the Halifax Shopping Centre. The restaurants feature a fresh menu of signature chicken shawarma, falafel, donairs, combo plates, salads, etc.  The items are prepared using locally sourced poultry, bakery products and produce.  All sauces are made in-house with several quality ingredients selected from Lebanon. Currently there are 23 restaurants operating in the four Atlantic Provinces and now, one in Calgary.
