Over the weekend, the growing sports bar and casual dining Canadian Brewhouse opened its sixth location in Calgary and 49th in Canada. The 3334 square foot unit, the first of its new downsized design at Broadcast Ave. SW at 85th St SW in the city’s West Springs area. The unit includes a rooftop mezzanine space and patio. “West Springs is an incredible, growing community and we’re excited to finally call it home,” said COO Mike Wheeler. “This new location is about more than just opening another restaurant – it’s about creating a new neighbourhood gathering place where people can come together, celebrate, and feel like they belong.” The uniquely Canadian-themed sports bar offers a wide variety of menu items, including appetizers, entrees, drinks, and specials. Introduced in Edmonton in 2002, the growing chain is bringing its signature warm and welcoming atmosphere, world-class patios, and daily specials across the country. The Canadian Brewhouse continues to source suitable locations and Jamie Topham and Brett Killips at Cushman & Wakefield Edmonton are handling the chain’s site selection in Western Canada. Several new locations are in the pipeline for 2026 and likely 2027 openings. The Canadian Brewhouse restaurant’s new revised footprint is in the 3500 square foot range with a main level patio. A rooftop patio is welcomed.
