Jimmy John’s is expanding its presence in Manitoba with last week’s opening of its fourth location in Winnipeg at Kenaston Village at Grant Ave at Kenaston Blvd. in the city’s southwest quadrant. The inline 1210 square foot is owned and operated by local franchisees Mark Beyer and Derek Nieroda. The Grant Ave quick service restaurant offers Jimmy John’s made-to-order sandwiches on French-style bread, sliced wheat bread or tortilla-style wraps, with fresh meats, cheese, a choice of vegetable toppings, etc. in the convenient and accessible location for residents, students and nearby businesses. Beyer and Nieroda are planning to add more locations in the area and Dino Alevizos at Shindico Realty is handling the search on behalf of the franchisees. Over 40-years old and part of the Atlanta, Georgia-based Inspire Brands restaurant group, in early 2024, Montreal-based Foodtastic Inc. acquired the Canadian rights to operate the quick service Jimmy John’s Sandwiches restaurants with long term plans for 200 locations within ten years. Jimmy John’s locations generally operate in highly visible 1200 to 1800 square foot units with convenient access.
