The London, Ontario-based quick casual premium fried chicken restaurant, BTRMLK is preparing to open in the Greater Toronto Area. The chain is opening a 2000 square foot location at the Dorval Crossing West in Oakville in early Summer. Along with this opening, the quick casual restaurant continues to source opportunities, focusing on the GTA and Toronto markets with Caitlyn Micuda and Ali Baker at Avison Young Real Estate Services sourcing suitable sites. BTRMLK was introduced in London by husband-and-wife team Shad Haidar and Monia ElHayek as a pop-up concept during the 2020 lockdown. In Spring 2021, the first permanent location opened in the Oxford Wharncliffe Centre followed in Spring 2024 by a unit at the mixed-use West 5 project in West London. Targeting the GTA market, in 2024 the chain opened pop-up locations featuring its small-batch classic fried chicken sandwich menu, Nashville Hot made-to-order fried chicken sandwiches, chicken strips and fries and mac & cheese at the Farm Boy store at Front and Bathurst streets in downtown Toronto. BTRMLK is seeking highly visible locations in the 1500 to 2000 square foot range that provide traffic and convenient access.
