Later this week, franchisee David Caruso Jr opens a DalMoros Fresh Pasta To Go at 16 NW 18th St., across from the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville.DalMoros features a wide variety of fresh pastas, made fresh all day, and homemade sauces made from scratch with each meal uniquely served in to-go boxes and ready within minutes. Various toppings, garlic bread sticks, meatballs, tiramisu, soft drinks, and gluten friendly menu options are available. Currently, DalMoros locations include Florida, in St. Petersburg, Tampa, Delray Beach, Orlando, Gainesville and Boston and Cambridge in Massachusetts, with future locations planned for Philadelphia, New York City, Austin, San Antonio and Washington, DC. The DalMoros U.S. franchise team is run by the Caruso family. Introduced in 2012 by Chef Gabriele Dal Moro in Venice in Italy, the quick service, to-go concept entered the Canadian market with a street front location on Yonge St. in downtown Toronto. In 2019, more locations opened in greater Toronto and in the Byward Market in Ottawa. The company continues its search for franchisees in Canada and Robert Weinberg and Braydon Bumpus at Oberfeld Snowcap handles the site selection in Ontario for the company. The company is looking to open another location in Ontario this year. Highly visible street front locations in the 900 to 1100 square foot range are of most interest.
