This week, the quick service healthy food chain Mad Radish opens its twelfth location and sixth in GTA in downtown Toronto. The 1475 square foot location is on East Liberty St. in First Capital’s Shops at King Liberty in downtown Toronto. Introduced in 2017 and franchising since 2023, Mad Radish features a menu of healthy, globally inspired bowls, burritos, and salads with signature dressings. The restaurants also offer an extensive selection of freshly roasted, creatively marinated halal proteins, including locally sourced chicken, beef, and plant-based options. The existing locations are operating in the GTA and the National Capital Region, the chain continues to source opportunities across Ontario targeting highly visible street front locations, lifestyle centre and strip centre. Units in the 1400 to 1800 square foot range are required. In late 2025, the company reported that an established, unnamed Calgary entrepreneur had secured the franchise rights for Alberta for Mad Radish and is currently sourcing prime real estate opportunities in Calgary and Edmonton.
