Originally a small kiosk in a Toronto strip mall dealing in natural products in 1995, Healthy Planet has evolved into one of Ontario’s larger health-focused concepts featuring a wide selection of vitamins, dietary supplements, sports nutrition, natural beauty along with eco-friendly home goods, healthy foods, organic groceries, and pet wellness items. The chain now operates over 40 locations across the province along with a large online component, each with trained staff to help customers with product choices. Several of the newer locations include Healthy Planet Kitchen, which offers grab-and-go meals and fresh food options crafted from wholesome ingredients. The chain aims to make health and wellness accessible and affordable for Canadians. Eli Vladimirsky at Value Insight Realty is handling the chain’s site selection in Ontario and notes that the chain operates in units of 8,000 to 15,000 square feet in urban streetfront locations, mixed-use projects, suburban plazas and freestanding pads.
