In early March the quick service Panda Pancakes dessert chain opened its first location in British Columbia and second in Canada at the Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby. Recognized for its fluffy, customizable mini-pancakes and fun, family-friendly atmosphere, the concept was introduced in Bayside in Miami in 2021 during the pandemic and quickly became popular with its colourful kiosks and mobile units. Featuring a large selection of high-quality ingredients, menu that allows guests to tailor their own fluffy mini-pancakes. The company operates through a license-based franchise model, offering storefront kiosks and mobile units that can be placed in malls, outdoor venues, or pop-ups across the U.S. and Canada. Panda Pancake entered the Canadian market in Summer 2025 with a 170 square foot location in The Well in downtown Toronto and along with this latest B.C. opening, the chain counts nine locations with units in Miami, Atlanta and West Covina opening shortly. The company continues to source licensees for its store front model, its 10 x 10 kiosk model as well as a mobile model.
