Quick casual Greek Mediterranean restaurant chain Johnny Greeko’s has just announced that its fifth location will open shortly at the Huron Street Plaza at Dundas St and Huron St in Woodstock in Southwestern Ontario. Designed as a franchise concept, the six-year-old chain features a premium Greek menu including souvlaki, gyros, pitas, spanakopita, etc. as well as unique items such as the Dipla, a Greek-style quesadilla, and Greek poutine. With units currently operating in Brantford, Paris, Cambridge and Kitchener, Johnny Greeko’s continues to source potential franchisees all across southern and southwestern Ontario. Ryan Kaitting at Cushman & Wakefield Waterloo Region is handling the real estate selection for the chain and explains that highly visible 1300 to 1600 square foot units in markets near residential and daytime traffic are required. Corner locations near shopping centres are preferred.
