Over the weekend, Laval-based Rock’N Deli opened a 1050 square foot location at 530 Speers Rd. in Oakville, its second restaurant in the Greater Toronto area. The chain opened the first GTA location in the food court at Square One shopping centre in late 2025. In addition, later in the Spring/Summer, the chain will open its second location in the Ottawa area at Bayshore Shopping Centre in the Nepean district. The first Rock N Deli in Ottawa also opened in late 2025 in the food court at CF Rideau Centre in downtown Ottawa. In operation since 1992, Rock’N Deli specializes in Montreal-style smoked meat sandwiches and features a menu of quality deli-style cuisine, smash burgers, poutines, etc. The franchise chain currently has ten locations across Quebec along with the soon-to-be four in Ontario and the chain continues to source sites across the Island of Montreal, Laval, and the North Shore, including markets such as Terrebonne, Rosemère and Boisbriand. The company adds that opportunities in other areas that provide good visibility and strong foot traffic are welcomed. In addition to the 400 to 500 square foot food court locations, Rock’N Deli also targets 1200 to 1800 square foot street and plaza locations. Venting, gas line and 200AMP electrical service are required and where possible, a patio is welcomed. Laura Kolta at Royal LePage Du Quartier and Dave Azran at Urban Rebel Consulting are handling the site selection in Quebec and Ontario.
