In late 2025, the Dallas-based Wingstop Restaurants announced the opening of its 3000th location worldwide. In early 2021, Barbados-based holding company JPK Capital, led by entrepreneur Joe Poulin, acquired the rights to open 100 Wingstop restaurants in Canada over a ten-year period and the chain ended 2025 with about 18 locations in Ontario and several in the works. The quick service chain features a menu of cooked-to-order and hand sauced-and-tossed classic and boneless wings, tenders and chicken sandwiches, in a choice of twelve bold, distinctive flavors, with signature sides and iconic house made ranch and bleu cheese dips. The company’s development momentum continues with further expansion in Canada, including its first outside of Ontario. Calgary expansion is planned including a flagship location in CF Chinook Centre in Calgary, in early 2026. It is the first of three Calgary locations planned for Calgary in early 2026. Sari Samarah and Eli Vladimirsky at Value Insight Realty Inc. are handling the chain’s site selection in Ontario and Joel Patterson and Joshua Hasen at Aurora Realty Group are responsible for the Western Canada site selection and the Quebec search respectively. Wingstop continues to source high profile locations targeting freestanding pads and end caps. The chain also seeks potential for drive-thrus and the size required will range from 1800 to 6000 square feet, depending on the market and opportunity.
