Oakberry Canada is actively pursuing new locations in the Greater Toronto Area and major Ontario markets as it continues to expand its footprint. The Brazilian-born superfoods brand was launched in 2016 and entered Canada just over two years ago. It currently operates approximately five Ontario locations and more than 20 nationwide, with over 700 units worldwide across 45 countries. Oakberry is known for its 100 percent natural açai bowls and smoothies, featuring unlimited, customizable toppings such as fresh fruit, granola, chia seeds, and cacao nibs. Caitlyn Price of Value Insight Realty has been retained to secure highly visible, high-traffic sites near schools and hospitals, with flexible unit sizes ranging from 300 to 1100 square feet. In April 2025, Winnipeg-based Snowbank Brands acquired the Master Franchisee right to Oakberrry Acai in Ontario. This strategic expansion strengthens Snowbank Brands’ presence in the Canadian market, building upon its successful operation of 15 Oakberry locations in Western Canada. In addition, Snowbank Brands also announce the appointment of Kyla Friesen as the National Head of Operations.
