In mid-January, Calgary fitness veteran Skye Kaiss opened his first ONE8T Wellness, a unique wellness spa concept in the new Madison mixed-use project on 33rd Ave SW and 19th St SW in Calgary’s Marda Loop area. Unlike most wellness concepts, ONE8T provides eight private suites rather than a single common area. Each of the private suites features an infrared sauna, saltwater cold plunge and eight rejuvenating modalities. Each session is an 80-minute experience, designed to deliver transformation in both mind and body. In addition to the salt water cold plunge and infrared saunas, the modules also include electrolyte/caffeine infused hydration, massage chairs, hyperice percussion therapy, red light therapy, vibrational resonance therapy and vitamin C + activated carbon filtered shower. A second ONE8T Wellness is scheduled to open in Spring 2026 at the new West Spring Landing on 55th St SW and 9th Ave SW in Calgary’s West Springs area and additional growth is anticipated in 2026 and 2027 in the Calgary area and other markets. Angela Wilhelm at Willspire Real Estate Services Inc. is handling the site selection for the ONE8T concept. Presently the focus is on Calgary’s Seton, Mahogany, Crowfoot and Country Hills communities for possession in second quarter of 2025 or later. High profile locations in the 2500 square foot range are preferred.
