In Summer 2025, Redberry Restaurants, the Area Director for Canada for the Jersey Mike’s Subs chain of quick service submarine restaurants, opened the 13th Jersey Mike’s location in Regina, and first outside of Ontario, and plans call for about 300 locations across the country over ten years. In 2026, Redberry will develop over 25 locations in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec and Atlantic Canada will come online in 2027-2028. Jersey Mike’s locations are generally in the 1200 to 1800 square foot range. Shared pads or outparcels and end caps are preferred with about 20 feet of frontage. Outside seating is strongly preferred. Introduced in the Jersey Shore in New Jersey in the mid-1950s, the chain features an authentic East Coast-style sub sandwich with fresh meats and cheeses sliced to order and served on in-store baked bread.
