Earlier this week, A&W Food Services of Canada opened its second Pret A Manger quick casual restaurant on the concourse level of the TD Centre in the heart of downtown Toronto. It joins the first standalone Pret A Manger location that opened on Adelaide St West in Toronto’s Financial District in early 2024. Following an earlier agreement between A&W Food Service and Pret A Manger (Europe) Ltd., followed by several trial pop-up Pret units in certain A&W restaurants and a national roll out of Pret coffee in A&W restaurants, A&W holds the master franchise rights for the Pret restaurants, and more physical locations are anticipated. Robert Weinberg at Oberfeld Snowcap is handling the search in Ontario for the 1500 to 2000 square foot street front Pret locations. Based in London in the U.K., Pret A Manger is a 42-year-old quick casual chain featuring sandwiches, salads and wraps, freshly handmade each day using quality ingredients and all coffees, teas and hot chocolates are organic. Currently Pret operates over 700 locations worldwide.
