Over 130 locations are currently in Canada. The company has been opening new locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario and continues to source continued expansion opportunities for corporate and franchise locations. Valvoline Great Canadian Oil Change targets markets with more than 15,000 households within a two-mile radius and traffic over 20,000 vehicles per day. Desired sites have high traffic, high energy and are generally visible freestanding pad locations with convenient access. Grocery, casual dining, or big box anchors are preferred co-tenants. Paul Verscheure, Valvoline’s Senior Real Estate Development Manager for Canada, confirms that Valvoline continues to source new land lease or build to suit sites offering its corporate covenant and builds its own store or can purchase locations for its three-bay, 1,917 square foot unit on approximately 0.3 to 0.5 acres of land. Gary Killips of Cushman Wakefield (Edmonton) has been retained to handle the real estate search in Western Canada, while Benjamin Bach, Fraser Vrenjak and Bob Vrenjak of Cushman Wakefield (Waterloo) handle site selection in Ontario and Steve Babor of Sitelines Realty handles site selection in the immediate GTA.
