Red Apple Stores will celebrate the grand reopening of its store at the Lacombe Centre in Lacombe in central Alberta on March 27th. The 10,100 square foot unit features newly updated space with a bright, welcoming layout designed to make it easier for customers to browse throughout the store. The store will feature the same brand-name fashion, toys, groceries, home essentials, seasonal products, etc. “Refreshing our Lacombe store is about reinvesting in the community and ensuring our customers continue to enjoy a welcoming, easy-to-shop environment,” said President Jim Hreljac. “While the store has a fresh new look, our commitment to great brands, everyday value, and the friendly service our customers count on remains the same.” Red Apple Stores is a Canadian chain of more than 140 small-town general merchandise stores. For over 20 years, the company has delivered big brands, quality products, and strong value on food, fashion, and home goods, complemented by convenient locations and friendly, community-focused customer service.
Lacombe Centre is a 97,000 square foot mall on 45th St at Hwy 2A in the Lacombe community, about 175 kilometres north of Calgary. In addition to Red Apple, the mall is anchored by a new Peavey Mart that opened in late 2025, along with Dollarama, Scotiabank, Mr Mikes, etc. The centre serves a trade area of over 45,800 people in the area. KDI Commercial is handling the management and leasing for Lacombe Centre and Steve Seiler reports that one newly constructed exterior unit of 1030 square feet will be available for May occupancy at the centre. Suggested uses include quick service restaurants or medical related uses.
