In early January 2026, Molly Tea opened an 1160 square foot location, across from the T&T Supermarket at the CF Fairview Mall in Toronto. The opening is the chain’s third location in the GTA and fifth in Canada. And the company reports that another is opening shortly in North York. Originating in Shenzhen in China in 2021, Molly Tea is an international oriental tea franchise that features a menu of unique jasmine-inspired fresh milk teas, whipped cream teas, oat milk teas, etc. With over 700 locations now in Asia, the franchise chain entered the North American market in early 2024 with a location on Prince St at 37th Ave. in Flushing in New York City. A second location in San Franscisco’s Bay area opened in October 2024 and in late November 2024, the chain entered the Canadian market with an 800 square foot location at 604 Yonge St, south of Bloor St. in downtown Toronto. The Canadian franchise holder, Molly Tea Canada has also added locations in Edmonton at the Capital Centre and in Richmond in BC at the Richmond Union Square. Operating in various sizes and formats, the Molly Tea franchise continues to source operators and suitable sites. Molly Tea also operates about 15 locations in the U.S.
