Several More Planned for 2024…………..

In September 2023, Eat Up Canada and Open Concept Hospitality introduced its new quick casual chicken concept, MightyBird, in the Foodie Aisle at Union Station in downtown Toronto. The 250 square foot unit features a chef-curated menu of signature chicken marinated in buttermilk and cooked to crispy, golden perfection.  With its fresh, premium, locally sourced, halal chicken, the menu includes a selection of unique chicken sandwiches such as The Mighty O.G., Crispy Chicken Classic, Nashville Hot, Banh Mi and its Piri-Piri Glazed.  A plant-based protein option is also available.  A second location, a 1500 square foot at the Appleby Crossing on Appleby Ling in Burlington is under construction and expected to open in early March and plans call for another three to four MightyBird opening across Ontario this year.  The company has previously identified Kingston and Barrie as target markets. A franchise concept, the MightyBird restaurants will operate in highly-visible 1500 to 2000 square foot inline or end cap locations with about 20 feet of frontage in high traffic shopping centres. Mike Sabetti at CBRE Ltd. is handling the chain’s site selection in Ontario and George Heos, co-founder of Eat Up Canada, is handling the search outside of the province.  Eat Up Canada’s co-founder Alex Gerzon is handling the franchising, seeking candidates with a passion for food and hospitality and who want to run their own business.
