And over the weekend, Happy Belly Food Group celebrated the grand opening of its newest Rosie’s Burgers restaurant and its first in Quebec. The 850 square foot unit is at 210 Saint-Viateur West in the heart of the Mile End neighbourhood in Montreal’s Plateau Mont Royal. The unit is the first of a multi-unit franchise agreement for the greater Montreal area for the Rosie’s Burgers smash burger brand with Montreal-based Carma Hospitality that was signed in July 2025. Carma Hospitality is a restaurant group with a diverse range of restaurants in greater Montreal and the Old Port area. The opening marks Rosie’s 13th location nationwide in Canada and extends the brand’s footprint to a third Canadian province. Rosie’s is a 16-year-old quick service neighbourhood burger shop serving handcrafted smashed burgers, poutine, fries, and classic milkshakes that operates in highly visible locations with convenient access and in the 1000 to 2000 square foot range.
