The Bakers is a Mississauga-based bakery celebrated for authentic Middle Eastern baked goods like manakish, maarouk, and mini fatayer, made with traditional Syrian recipes and high-quality ingredients that reflect its cultural roots. Founded by Najla Al Saghir and restaurant veteran Bassel Kardan at the Ridgeway Plaza in Mississauga about three years ago, the business has built strong community support with its original location. Early in January 2026, The Bakers opened its second location, a 527 square foot unit in the heart of the Food Central in Square One Shopping Centre, also in Mississauga. At the new location, dough is baked onsite daily using only the finest ingredients and traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations. Future plans have not been announced though the company suggest that expansion could be in the future.
