Unlimited Korean BBQ……..

GOGI Korean BBQ is a modern, Calgary-based all-you-can-eat restaurant concept that entered the Edmonton market earlier in 2026 and is currently under construction on its first location in Winnipeg that is expected to open in the Summer.  The freestanding 3700 square foot restaurant is opening at Shindico Realty’s Lincoln Place plaza at 762 Pembina Hwy. GOGI, which means ‘meat’ in Korean, is built around the traditional Korean barbecue dining experience, where guests grill premium meats at their table along with a variety of authentic side dishes.  Guests typically cook marinated meats such as bulgogi, pork belly, and short ribs on tabletop grills, creating an interactive and social dining atmosphere.  With three restaurants in Calgary and GOGI Kitchen for online and catering services, the franchise chain is expanding into additional markets, offering entrepreneurs an opportunity to bring the popular Korean barbecue experience to new communities. Brennan Pratt at Private Pension Partners Realty Services handled the Winnipeg transaction on behalf of the franchisee for Manitoba.  While there are no immediate plans, other than opening the first location, the franchisee is keeping an eye open for a second location.

Kathryn Comeault, who with Dino Alevizos at Shindico Realty, are handling the leasing on the Lincoln Place plaza, reports that with the addition of the GOGI BBQ, a 2360 square foot inline unit remains available in the 20,000 square foot service plaza on Pembina Hwy, between Stafford St. and Taylor Ave. in southwest Winnipeg. The plaza fronts onto the city’s north/south artery to and from the Central Business District and sees about 77,600 vehicles pass the site daily. In addition to the GOGI BBQ on the south end of the site, other co-tenants include Sherwin-Williams, a real estate office, etc.  Over 243,500 people are living in more than 109,000 households are within five kilometres of the site. The daytime population in the area is over 313,600 people and the median age is about 38 years.  The average household income in the area is in excess of $104,000 per year.
