Introduced as a food truck concept in 2012, THG’s Hot Chicken built a strong following for its Nashville hot chicken, halal fried chicken sandwiches, sides, etc. So it was no surprise that line ups were around the block when Chef Aleem Syed opened his first bricks & mortar location in a plaza on Sheppard Ave. East in Toronto’s Scarborough area in mid-2022. The popular quick casual bricks & mortar restaurant has introduced a franchise program is now exploring expansion opportunities in the greater Toronto area and has retained Janis MacDougall and Kelly Farraj at The Behar Group Realty to handle a location search. At this time the focus is on highly visible locations in the 1000 to 1600 square foot range that provide convenient access. Durham region, Mississauga, Brampton, Milton and Burlington as well as London, Kitchener and Cambridge are target markets.
