Originally a virtual reality content production company, in early 2017 MontVR opened its first virtual reality centre on St Denis St in Montreal and presently, the chain operates four centres in the province, in Montreal, Brosdsard, Trois Rivieres and Quebec City. In addition to various arcade-style games and experiences, the MontVR centres offers video content viewing with a focus on customer experience, pleasing aesthetics and high-tech. The centres allow the clientele to try out virtual reality firsthand, with staff on hand to ensure a beginner will enjoy the full experience. Additional entertainment features are in some locations for example, axe throwing is available in the Trois Rivieres and Brossard centres and mini golf is also at the Trois Rivieres location. The chain is planning to add two or three centres in Quebec and Ontario and Ben Labrecque at Oakmont Real Estate Services handles the real estate search for the MontVR centres. The locations will operate in high traffic street locations and open centres as well as enclosed malls. The size necessary is in a 12,000 to 30,000 square foot range.
