Adds a Smokehouse Menu…………In late August, Wild Wing & BBQ opened a street front location at 104th St at 102nd Ave NW in downtown Edmonton, its third location in the Edmonton area and fourth in Alberta. Along with its hybrid smokehouse locations opened in Ontario in Port Elgin and in Shelburne earlier this year, the chain of casual restaurants operates almost 100 locations from Quebec to British Columbia. Launched in Ontario’s Durham Region, northeast of Toronto, in 1999 and acquired by President Clark McKeown in 2015, Wild Wing has become known for a variety of menu offerings and in particular, its chicken wings in over 100 flavors and now a slow-smoked BBQ has been added to the menu. A franchise concept, the family-friendly sports bar style restaurants are independently owned by local franchisees. The restaurants share a common menu, with local ownership, each restaurant adapts to local cultures and atmosphere. The Wild Wing restaurants are generally in a 2200 to 3500 square foot range and expansion is largely franchise driven. Providing a proven concept and ongoing support, the franchise is seeking operators in various markets from coast-to-coast. With its growth largely franchise driven, the chain is seeking franchisees in several markets as well as Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia and Atlantic Canada.
